Trichogaster trichopterus common name blue gouramie.
They grow up to 15 cm / 6 inches fully grown. They are best kept in water parameters of PH range 6.5-8.8, and temperatures of 22-28 Celsius / 72-82 °F.
The blue gouramie is also known as the three spot gouramie. They are suppose to be peaceful, however in our experience we see that they can be a little bossy. We would recommend not to mix them with small fish, mixing them with bigger community fish is better. They are best mixed in pairs or groups. Sexing them is easy as the males have a longer and pointed dorsal fin, whilst the females have a shorted rounder dorsal fin.
They enjoy a diet of flake, pellets, and granular food. Also they do like freeze dried, frozen or live foods in there diet.
