Puntius conchonius common name rosy barb.
They can grow up to 15 cm / 6 inches fully grown in the wild but in aquariums there maximum size is usually 10 cm / 4 inches fully grown. They live in water parameters of PH range 6.5-7.5 and temperatures of 75-26 Celsius / 74-79 °F.
As they are a barb rosy barbs are a semi aggressive fish, so they are best kept with other semi aggressive fish.
The males are a bright red and gold colour where as the females are just a gold in colour.
The rosy barb fish is a playful fish and they are best kept in groups.
They enjoy a diet of small pellets, granular, or flakes foods. Also with treats of freeze dried, frozen or live foods.
Rosy barbs will eat anything from flake, pellet, granular, to live and frozen foods.
A colour enhancing food is good to feed the rosy barbs to keep there red and gold colour bright.
Feeding once a day is more than enough for these fish.
