Serpae Tetra
TROPICAL FISH
Hyphessobrycon eques common name serpae tetra.
They grow up to 3-4 cm / 1.5 inches fully grown. They are best kept in water parameters of PH range of 6.0-7.5, and temperature 22-28 Celsius / 72-82 °F.
Serpae tetra are suppose to be peaceful fish, but in our experience they seem to be very nippy. We would recommend not to mix them with any fish that have long fins, like fighters and guppies. Serpae tetra really are better mixed in small groups, this can help calm them down.
They will eat any foods like flake, small pellets, and granular food, they enjoy treats like freeze dried, frozen or live foods.
Serpa tetras are only small fish so don’t require anything to big. They are still greedy fish and will try and eat everything you put in for them.
They only need feeding once a day at the most.
