Livestock

At Sedgley Road Aquarium we stock a large variety of tropical, cold water fish, pond fish, and something new we now stock inverts.

On the ground floor you will find 15 tanks of coldwater fish for indoor fish tanks. We have a selection of oranda, ryukin, moor, telescope eyes and other fancy goldfish, during the summer months we also have Xipophorus variatus, a temperate species of platy.

Through the back of the ground floor you will find 20 tanks and vats for pond fish. We have a nice range of pond fish in during the summer months, however during the winter this section does get closed down.

Something new for this year, also on the ground floor, you will find a small selection of exotic insects.

On the first floor is our Tropical fish room. The stairs to get to the tropical fish room are found by the main entrance of the shop. We have over 150 tanks in the main room for tropical fish. These all range in different sizes. In the middle room we have 10 larger tanks for bigger fish, 12 small tanks for shrimps and micro fish, and 4 tanks for our  blackwater system.

In the back room we have a further 36 tanks, and a fish tank show room.

We do not post or deliver live stock, it’s collection only. All our live stock come with a 24-48 hour guarantee, subject to a water sample and the bodies being returned should losses occur.
